The Numbers Speak for Themselves: Mommy Bloggers Rock!

36 million women read or write a blog every week in the USA.
46% mommy bloggers have supported a political campaign this year.
2 trillion dollars: money spent by moms every year.

These are US women numbers but given the broadband and internet penetration in Latin America, these figures should be seriously considered by local Marketers who want to capture the attention of the biggest buying force in the region: MOMS.

Do not take my word for it, see and hear Katie Kouric talking about "mommy bloggers" and commenting about BlogHer in this YouTube video:

LinkedIn in Latin America.

Following a new "wave" of US and international companies that are arriving in Latin America with new investments, this is the time for LinkedIn the most popular social media network in the USA. After finishing a new round of investment of $53 million, LinkedIn is ready for more.
Today, July 23rd LinkedIn is organizing an event in one of Buenos Aires' most chic places "Arnet Point". Organized by Newlink Group, the PR agency that LinkedIn chose to handle its communications in Latin America, a group of users were invited to get together and learn the company's plans for the region.
This is great news, not only because the company plans to launch a complete version (widgets included) in Spanish, but because such an investment really shows the importance of Latino markets in the growth plans of US company.
